The Metropolitan School District of Steuben County is a growing and progressive district. Committed to excellence, our schools have received local, state, and national recognitions for achievement. Angola High School was recognized at the White House as a New American High School. Three of our schools have received Indiana’s Four Star Awards and all of our schools are members of the North Central Association, focusing on continuous improvement.

Our school district enrolls 3,085 students and has grown steadily over the past ten years. There are 196 certified and 164 classified employees serving our students. Numerous partnerships within the community add to a comprehensive curriculum. A new middle college program opened in the fall of 2004 allowing high school students access to college courses and advanced degree work.
