McKinney Vento- Homeless
McKinney-Vento (Homeless)Families in certain transitional living situations are eligible for McKinney-Vento Services. Which of these most accurately describes your residence:
- Living in motel, hotel, or camping grounds, due to lack of adequate alternative accommodations
- Due to a loss of housing, economic hardship, or similar reason, we are sharing the housing of others
- Lack stable housing and are moving from place to place, in between homes, or “couch surfing”
- Living in emergency or transitional shelters (Turning Point etc.)
- Living in a public or private place not designed for habitation (car, park, abandoned building)
- Unaccompanied Youth
- Children In Foster Care
The Housing Questionnaire is the first form in the Enrollment process and Food Assistance forms include Homeless status.
Upon enrollment in any MSD Steuben County School or during anytime of current enrollment, parents may contact the school to notify them of Homeless Status.
