High Ability Service
The Metropolitan School District of Steuben County provides services for students with high ability in language arts, mathematics, and general intellectual in grades kindergarten through twelfth grade. Services include differentiated regular classroom instruction, cluster grouping at the elementary, self-contained advanced classes, mentors at the middle school level, and honors, Advance Placement, Trine Middle College, and dual credit courses at the high school level.

SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES
The Metropolitan School District of Steuben County provides services in the following exceptionality areas:
Autism Spectrum Disorder, Blind or low vision, Cognitive Disability, Deaf or hard of hearing
Developmental Delay (Early Intervention), Emotional Disability, Language or speech impairment, and
Multiple Disabilities, within the district and through our four county special education cooperative including Steuben, DeKalb, Lagrange, and Noble counties. In compliance with Special Education Rules Title 511 Rule 34 any parent of a home schooled child who resides within the district's boundaries witha disabled child or supected of having a disability may contact Kathy Bahr, Special Education Coordinator at 665-2854 Ext: 1313.

ENGLISH LEARNERS
The Metropolitan School District provides services to non-English Speaking students enrolled within our district in grades kindergarten through twelfth grade. Services include pull-out resource and extended literacy time at the elementary and resource classes at the middle and high school levels.
