Summer School

On June 5th MSD once again opened its doors, this time for summer school. Summer school is a great opportunity for students to enhance their knowledge, explore new subjects, and engage in personal growth. Summer school runs from 8am to 11:30am for 2 weeks and includes breakfast and lunch. This year we currently have approximately 210 students involved in the program district wide.

Gone are the days when summer school was viewed as a remedial program for struggling students. Today, it has evolved into a diverse range of academic and enrichment programs that cater to a wide array of interests and objectives. From reinforcing core subjects to offering time in a new school, to getting comfortable and learning new skills (like opening a locker).

Summer school offers a more relaxed environment to encourage educational and social growth. It is led by  a dedicated group of teachers and staff who give up part of their summer to give students this opportunity.
