September 19th 2023 is IT Professional Appreciation Day
Today’s educational environment is filled with learning applications, online text, and online learning along with the negative items like cyberthreats and email scams. Schools can not survive without a solid IT team and our school teams are definitely some of the best. Chantell Manahan is the IT Director and she brings years of experience as a teacher this along with her constant striving to learn has brought her to the forefront of the edu-tech world. She is always on the lookout for the best technology whether it is hardware, software or infrastructure. She then figures out how that can be brought into our school district through grants special programs to best support our students and staff. Chuck Bowman is the systems administrator, he brings over 20 years of experience to the team. He keeps our technology running and safe from all threats. Rocky Foltz brings over a dozen years of technical experience to the team, there is not a technology problem that he can not fix. Kami Call is our Powerschool Guru, her expertise keeps all of our information flowing and our reports completed. Austin Van is our Technology coach, she evaluates tech and figures out how to incorporate them into the classroom and then educates our teachers how to implement them. Emily Yoder is our Security technology, besides keeping an eye on what our students are doing she teaches our staff how to be safe online. No team can be complete with someone to help out in any aspect needed and for our team that is Kat Webber. As technology continues to grow and fluctuate the MSD IT team is there working hard to avoid all hazards, always learning more as they keep us moving forward..
