Welcome, Class of 2039! 2026-2027 Kindergarten Registration is Now Open
MSD of Steuben County is officially calling all our newest little Hornets! It is time to prepare for the 2026-2027 school year, and we want to ensure every family is ready for the first bell. If you have a child who will be 5 years old on or before August 1, 2026, now is the time to act.
Because we are committed to providing the best possible learning environment for every student, final school assignments are based on district-wide capacity. We encourage families to register as early as possible to help us plan for your child's arrival.
Streamlined Registration & On-Site Health Services
We know how busy life can be, so we have combined registration and initial screening into one easy, one-hour visit.
To make the process even smoother, the Steuben County Health Department will be joining us at every Round-up location. Health officials will be available on-site to help with any vaccine records or updating required vaccines before the school year begins. They will be available to:
Review and update vaccine records.
Administer required vaccinations directly at the event.
Provide guidance on completing necessary shots before school starts.
While walk-ins are welcome if time allows, the Health Department recommends scheduling an appointment in advance to guarantee your time.
Choose Your Date and Location
All Round-up events run from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM, except the March 18 event, which concludes at 6:00 PM. Please join us at the location and date that works best for your family:
Tuesday, March 10, we will be at Hendry Park Elementary.
Wednesday, March 11, the event moves to Ryan Park Elementary. T
Wednesday, March 18, at Pleasant Lake Montessori.
Thursday, March 19, at Carlin Park Elementary.
What to Bring With You
To complete the registration process in one visit, please bring your incoming Kindergarten student for their screening and the following documents:
Your student for their initial screening.
Legal Birth Certificate.
Student's Immunization Record.
Proof of residence in the MSD of Steuben County, such as a utility bill, lease, or statement.
If you live outside the district and wish to join the Hornet family, you may complete an out-of-district transfer form during the event.
