As October begins, leaves begin to gracefully fall. Temperatures begin to descend, cozy layers become a must on chilly school day mornings. Fog may also blanket the mornings, checking notifications and/or news channels becomes a necessity. For sports enthusiasts, it's time for fall activities like football, soccer, and cross-country running, so bundle up and cheer on your favorite players. Donāt forget to spend some time crunching leaves and enjoying the hues of the season.

The art class was filled with smiles and laughter yesterday as staff from the district joined students for a student art class. This unique experience was spearheaded by art teacher Nora Majors.

Small Community, Big Opportunities
Being in a small town offers many opportunities for our students not available in other towns. One of the exceptional things about our community is its walkability. Many of our students are able to walk to school. It also enables our students to get off of school grounds and experience education in an exciting and interactive way. A prime example of this was when one of our Kindergarten classes took a walk to visit with a local artist who is beautifying our town by painting a mural on a retaining wall at the corner of a local neighborhood. Students were able to get an up close and personal look at the artwork along with listening to the artist describe her work.
Love our Schools, Love our Town!

5th graders at Ryan Park received their new chromebooks last week. Our chromebook 1to1 policy allows each student to have their own device. This gives our district the ability to have e-learning days both scheduled and weather related. These devices will stay with our 5th graders now and throughout and Middle school.
