In the twisting hallways of Ryan Park, one teacher stands out for her unwavering commitment to her students and her passion for continuous growth. Meet Mrs. Ann Antos, a beloved 4th-grade teacher who has been positively impacting young lives for the past 23 years.
Beyond the classroom, you can find Mrs. Antos hiking with her family, getting lost in the pages of a good book, or listening to music to unwind. She shares a particular fondness for Evie White novels, especially "The Trumpet of the Swan." "That book sparked my lifelong love of reading," she recalls. However, when she gets home from work, nothing is better than curling up and watching classics like "The Big Bang Theory" and "Friends."
Mrs. Antos' adventurous spirit extends to her travel aspirations as well. "I've always dreamed of visiting Austria and exploring the stunning landscapes that inspired 'The Sound of Music,'" she shares. She also hopes to make a trip to Hawaii to celebrate a future wedding anniversary.
A proud mom of three, Mrs. Antos beams when talking about her children's accomplishments. "My kids are my greatest source of pride. From their academic achievements at Ball State and Trine University to their success on the soccer field, I'm constantly in awe of their determination and passion."
Mrs. Antos' love of teaching shows in her excitement about learning new teaching methodologies, like spelling morphology, and phonics. "It has been eye-opening learning these new processes, but also confirming that the changes I've implemented in my classes are supported by research." When asked about her teaching philosophy, Mrs. Antos replied, "Try! without trying, you never know what you will accomplish!" She emphasizes that she would not be the teacher she is today without her students. "They teach me as much as I teach them we may have a few failures but together, we grow and succeed."
With her passion for learning and her unwavering dedication to her students, Mrs. Antos is beloved by all who know her. As she continues to inspire the next generation, we can't wait to see what other amazing feats she'll accomplish.

š Happy National STEM Day! š
Today, we're excited to highlight some of the amazing STEM activities happening in our middle school. š
In Mrs. Sarah Koch and Mr. Robert Evans' 8th-grade science class, students designed and built water wheels! šš§ They planned, constructed, and tested their creations, learning firsthand about engineering and energy in action.
Meanwhile, Mr. Heifner has been exploring the world of AI with his students! š¤āØ He used AI to help craft an engaging lesson on Mitosis, and the students created vibrant, informative posters that now proudly hang in the classroom. š§¬š¼ļø
We're so proud of the creativity and innovation our teachers and students bring to the world of STEM every day. Let's keep inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers, and thinkers! š©āš¬šØāš¬#SteubenStories#SmallCommunityBigOpportunities
