The AMS and AHS bands have been busy over the last few months preparing to fill our schools with music. They kicked off their winter season with a concert in the high school gym that showcased performances by the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bands, the AMS Jazz Band, and the AHS high school band. The evening ended on a festive note with all bands coming together for a final song.
The music didnāt stop thereā the AHS band and AMS 8th grade band spent a day traveling to our elementary schools, sharing a fun and engaging concert with students and spreading the joy of music throughout the district.

As temperatures drop and homes heat up for the winter, fire safety becomes more important than ever. MSDSC Computer Science teacher and volunteer firefighter Jenn Snow teamed up with her students for a hands-on fire safety lesson.
Students had the chance to try on real firefighting gear, practice āstop, drop, and roll,ā and learn how to safely crawl through a smoke-filled space.
Weāre grateful for opportunities like thisāwhere students can learn important, life-long safety skills in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment. Stay safe and warm this season! š„š§Æāļø

MSDSC was proud to once again present at the Angola Chamber of Commerceās November Lunch and Learn. These opportunities allow our district to keep the community informed about the incredible work happening across our schools.
Dr. Matt Widenhoefer led the presentation, highlighting key achievements such as graduation accomplishments, upward trending ILEARN performance, and our notable standings in the U.S. News & World Report rankings. He also provided insight into the headwinds we are facing with new state regulations, especially SEA 1, and what it could mean for our schools.
Dr. Schauna Relue continued the discussion, offering a deeper look into the evolving regulations surrounding school ratings and graduation requirements.
Thank you to the Angola Chamber for giving us the opportunity to share both our successes and the challenges ahead.
