We are beyond thrilled to announce that our very own Miss Becky Knight has been named the 2025 Hazel Feldhusen Outstanding Teacher of the Gifted! š
This prestigious honor is awarded annually by the Indiana Association for the Gifted (IAG). This wasn't just a local win. Becky was selected from a large, competitive pool of educators across the entire state of Indiana.
The selection process is incredibly rigorous, and Beckyās dedication shone through every step of the way:
Nomination: Recognized by peers and the community for her innovative teaching.
Finalist: Selected as one of the top educators in the state by the IAG committee.
Selection: After a deep dive into her impact and glowing letters of recommendation, she was officially chosen as this year's recipient!
Miss Knightās passion for challenging our students and her commitment to gifted education make her a true asset to our district. We are proud to have her leading the way in her 2nd-grade classroom and as High Ability Elementary Coordinator.
Please join us in the comments by sharing a congratulatory message or a favorite memory of Miss Knight!

Stay safe and warm,

Students had the chance to try on real firefighting gear, practice āstop, drop, and roll,ā and learn how to safely crawl through a smoke-filled space.
Weāre grateful for opportunities like thisāwhere students can learn important, life-long safety skills in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment. Stay safe and warm this season! š„š§Æāļø
